福岡県の天神にあるプラザホテル改装時、2000年にオープン。、HIGASHI-YAMA　Tokyoと同じ、新しい和食の提案のあるレストランとしてsinplecity緒方氏のプロデュース。ここでは、初めて墨でない2枚一組のカラーの作品を作る。主な製作物は、ロゴマークデザイン、アートパネル、 オリジナルプリントの食器など。

ロゴ:

語源はマラケシュの池。池やプール、大皿などの意味を持つバサンから、静かな池に水紋が広がる水面のイメージを綴りの真ん中で重なるSSを横にした形で構成する。

同じく3FにあるシガーBar BACCHUS BASSANでは、バッカスの綴りで重なるCCでタバコの煙を表現している。

LOGO:

This restaurant is named for a lake in Marrakech. In local dialect, this name refers to not only lakes, but also pools and platter-like tableware as well. The logo focuses on the double-s figure within the name and fashions them into an image of ripples spreading across a tranquil lake surface. Likewise, the logo for Baccas Bassin depicts the double-c pattern within "Bacchus" as rings of tobacco smoke.
